Beach-nesting Bird Conservation Workshop

In conjunction with BirdLife Australia, the Friends of the Hooded Plover group on the Mornington Peninsula has secured a Coastcare grant to establish a monitoring and management project for Red-capped Plovers. The project is supported and assisted by the Point Leo, Shoreham and Balnarring Foreshore Committees and their rangers.
You can assist this project by learning how to monitor Red-capped Plovers.  Learn about their nesting behaviours, quirky habits and what BirdLife Australia is doing to help protect them.
RSVP to renee.mead@birdlife.org.au or on 9347 0757 by 12 October with any dietary requirements.  Bring appropriate weather and sun protection, water and binoculars if you have them.  Download the flyer here.
